Privacy Policy — Triv Bits

Last updated: October 13, 2026

1. Introduction and Scope

Premium Digital LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Triv Bits at https://trivbits.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and otherwise process information relating to identifiable individuals (“Personal Data”) in connection with this website, its email newsletters, and related services that link to this Policy.

This Policy applies when you play a game, use a word or puzzle feature, visit our website, use our applications or services, subscribe directly or through a partner, receive communications from us, complete a survey, or contact us. Our newsletter acquisition practices described below concern email subscriptions. They do not constitute consent to telephone calls or text messages.

Our newsletters primarily serve readers in the United States. Some subscribers may reside in other countries. We apply the privacy and email-marketing requirements applicable to the relevant subscriber and activity; this Policy does not assume that every subscriber is located in the United States.

Personal Data includes information that identifies you on its own or in combination with other reasonably available information. Device and demographic information is treated as Personal Data when it can reasonably be linked to you, your household, or your device.

This Policy describes our practices; it does not itself constitute your consent to every activity described. Where consent is required, we request it for the relevant activity. Reading a privacy policy or merely visiting a website does not, by itself, subscribe you to an email newsletter.

Applicable privacy laws

Depending on where you reside, the services involved, and whether a law applies to our business and processing, privacy protections may include:

  • Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applicable provincial privacy laws, and Quebec Law 25;
  • the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable UK data protection law;
  • Brazil’s General Data Protection Law (LGPD);
  • California’s Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA);
  • the Colorado Privacy Act, Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Connecticut Data Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and Oregon Consumer Privacy Act;
  • applicable consumer privacy laws in Montana, Delaware, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Minnesota, Maryland, Kentucky, Tennessee, Rhode Island, Indiana, and Iowa;
  • South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA);
  • Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); and
  • Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

Your rights and our obligations are determined by applicable law. Listing a law here does not mean that every law applies to every interaction or that every right is available in every location.

Third-party services

Independent websites, applications, social media platforms, and services linked from our website or emails have their own privacy practices. Their policies govern their independent collection and use of information. This Policy governs our handling of information that we receive from those services. These distinctions do not limit our responsibilities for our own processing or for service providers acting on our behalf.

2. Personal Data We Collect

Information you provide

We collect the information you provide when you subscribe, complete forms or surveys, create content, submit feedback, request support, or otherwise interact with us. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Contact and subscription information: your email address, name, subscription preferences, and other contact details you choose to provide;
  • Account information: account identifiers, login details, and passwords, where account features are offered;
  • Payment and purchase information: billing address, telephone number, transaction records, and payment-method information, where purchases or paid features are offered;
  • Demographic and preference information: information supplied in voluntary surveys or other interactions;
  • Content and correspondence: messages, comments, feedback, inquiry details, product information, and support communications; and
  • Game and feature information: where relevant features are offered, quiz responses, puzzle attempts, scores, points, progress, preferences, and account-associated activity;
  • Location information: information you provide about your location and location information associated with your use of relevant features.

A standalone email newsletter signup does not require payment information or an account password. Where you also create a game or other account, separate account information may be required for that feature. Categories associated with paid services or accounts apply only where those features exist and you use them.

Device, usage, and interaction information

When you visit our website or interact with our services, cookies, server logs, pixels, and similar technologies may collect device and usage information, including IP address, browser and operating-system information, device type, referring and exit pages, dates and times, pages viewed, clicks, and other interactions. Device-specific information may include make, model, identifiers, and, where relevant to a feature, mobile identifiers or telephone numbers. Approximate location may be inferred from an IP address.

Where relevant features exist, we may also receive information about incomplete forms, orders, or abandoned baskets. Collection and use remain subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.

Information from third parties

We may receive Personal Data from:

  • publishers, newsletter operators, referral partners, and subscriber acquisition partners, including click-to-post and co-registration sources;
  • analytics providers, including Google, providing device and usage information;
  • social media platforms when you choose to use supported social login features;
  • communication services, email providers, or social networks when you authorize access to relevant information;
  • technical, payment, and delivery providers supporting features you use;
  • another individual arranging a gift or service for you, where such a feature is offered;
  • organizations, associations, or groups providing information for fraud prevention, detection, or credit-risk reduction, where relevant and lawful; and
  • other Company partners or customers providing information in connection with services you request.

Depending on the relevant service, this information may include contact or account information, content, device and usage information, and payment, financial, or transaction information associated with that service. We do not use this list to justify collecting information unrelated to the service or purpose involved.

If you provide information about someone else, you must have authority to do so. If you believe someone provided your information to us improperly, contact us using Section 12. You may ask us about information we hold even when its original source was a partner.

3. Email Newsletter Signups, Click-to-Post, and Co-Registration

Direct signups

You may subscribe to Triv Bits directly through our website or another Company signup experience. We use the information submitted to deliver the newsletter and manage your subscription according to the disclosure presented at signup.

Click-to-post signups

We may receive your email address from a third-party publisher or acquisition partner when you click a link presented as a signup for Triv Bits. The partner may already hold your email address and transmit it to us when you take that action, without requiring you to type it again on our website.

The disclosure accompanying that link should identify Triv Bits, explain that clicking subscribes you to its email newsletter, and explain the transfer of your email address to us. An ordinary article link or an undisclosed click is not treated as newsletter consent merely because this Policy mentions click-to-post.

Co-registration signups

You may sign up for Triv Bits while completing a registration, form, or other signup experience on a partner’s website. When the signup disclosure identifies our newsletter and explains that your email address will be shared with us for that subscription, the partner may transmit your subscription information to us.

A co-registration signup can be presented through a clearly disclosed registration action. Where applicable law requires separate or additional consent, the signup experience must obtain that consent. Agreement to a partner’s privacy policy alone is not treated as proof that you requested every newsletter associated with that partner.

Signup information and records

We may receive your email address and any name or preferences provided for the subscription. We may also receive or retain signup records, such as the source website or partner, campaign or referral identifier, date and time, the disclosure presented, the action taken, and related technical records such as an IP address where collected lawfully. We use these records to verify subscriptions, investigate complaints or unauthorized signups, prevent abuse, and demonstrate compliance.

Our handling of information after receipt is governed by this Policy. A partner’s policy governs its own collection and processing. We use partner-sourced subscription information for the newsletter identified at signup and other uses described here that are compatible with that purpose and permitted by law. A signup for Triv Bits does not by itself authorize unrelated brands to send their own marketing emails.

We may also share email addresses between certain brands in our publishing network as described in Section 5. Where additional authorization is required for another brand’s emails, we obtain it through a disclosure identifying the relevant brand and communications. Merely describing cross-brand sharing in this Policy does not create consent to every network newsletter.

List maintenance and inactive subscribers

We routinely clean our email lists and review engagement signals to filter inactive subscribers out of ongoing newsletter sends. We do not continue sending newsletters to subscribers we have identified as no longer engaging under our list-maintenance criteria. We also review invalid addresses, delivery failures, unsubscribe requests, and complaints to maintain accurate subscription and suppression records.

Engagement may be assessed using available signals such as link clicks and message opens, subject to the tracking practices described in Section 6. These signals can be imperfect, including because of email-provider privacy features. Inactivity filtering does not replace your right to unsubscribe at any time. Removal from ongoing sends does not necessarily mean all related records are immediately deleted; limited records may be retained as described in Section 8.

Your email choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or the contact methods in Section 12. We do not require a fee, an account, or additional identity documents for an ordinary email unsubscribe request. We process requests within the time required by applicable law; for U.S. commercial email, no later than 10 business days.

We may retain limited suppression records, such as your email address and opt-out status, to honor your choice and prevent accidental resubscription. If you believe you were subscribed without requesting the newsletter, you may ask us to investigate and remove the subscription.

4. How and Why We Use Personal Data

We use Personal Data, as relevant to your interaction and permitted by law, to:

  • deliver requested newsletters, products, and services and manage accounts and subscriptions;
  • operate quizzes, word features, puzzles, and other games where offered, record progress and scores, and respond to correction reports;
  • record and verify signups, consents, preferences, and opt-outs;
  • maintain email-list quality, assess engagement, and filter inactive subscribers out of ongoing newsletter sends;
  • respond to inquiries, feedback, complaints, and privacy requests;
  • operate, maintain, test, secure, and improve our websites and services;
  • understand audience activity and measure newsletter, content, and advertising performance;
  • personalize content, advertising, and communications where appropriate and lawful;
  • process purchases or transactions where paid features are available;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized signups, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect lawful rights; and
  • evaluate or carry out a business restructuring, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer as described below.

Newsletters may contain advertisements or sponsored content. Where separate promotional communications are offered, we describe them in the relevant signup disclosure and obtain any consent required by law.

Legal bases where required

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on the basis appropriate to the particular purpose: consent for activities requiring it, performance of a contract for requested services where applicable, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests where recognized by law and not overridden by your rights. Legitimate interests may include operating and securing our services, responding to inquiries, preventing fraud, and improving performance.

We do not rely on legitimate interests to bypass consent required by electronic marketing or tracking laws. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. If information is necessary for a requested service, we will explain that need; declining required information may prevent us from providing that service.

If we propose materially different or incompatible uses, we provide the notice and obtain the consent or other authorization required by applicable law.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We disclose Personal Data only for the purposes described in this Policy, in the relevant collection notice, or as permitted or required by law.

Service providers and professional support

We may disclose information to service providers, independent contractors, agencies, and consultants supporting our operations, including website hosting, email delivery, subscription management, analytics, marketing support, database services, backup and disaster recovery, customer support, security, and payment or delivery services where applicable. We require appropriate confidentiality, security, and use restrictions for providers processing information on our behalf.

Newsletter, subscription-management, hosting, and technical providers support our services and may store or process information on our behalf. Contact us for further information about the providers relevant to your interaction.

Analytics and advertising partners

Where Google Analytics is used, it helps us understand website activity. Information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy, and Google’s Analytics opt-out tool provides a browser-based choice for supported Analytics collection.

Advertising and analytics technologies may disclose identifiers and online activity information to providers or partners for measurement, advertising delivery, and personalization. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, some disclosures may constitute a sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or processing for targeted advertising. Applicable opt-out rights are described in Section 9.

Receiving a subscriber from an acquisition partner does not itself mean that we authorize onward disclosure of that subscriber’s email address to unrelated marketers. Any such disclosure must be accurately described in the applicable collection notice and this Policy, and supported by any legally required consent or choice.

Sharing across our publishing network

We may share subscriber email addresses between certain brands in our publishing network, including brands using other business names or DBAs. This sharing supports newsletter operations, communications from relevant brands where permitted, and management of subscriber preferences, engagement, and suppression records. The operator identified for this brand is Premium Digital LLC; another brand’s notice identifies the business name applicable to that brand.

Relevant recipient brands, purposes, and proposed newsletter communications are identified in the applicable signup or other collection disclosure where required. A signup for this brand is not automatically consent to every newsletter in the network. We obtain any additional permission required for the relevant communications and respect applicable unsubscribe and privacy choices. Routine list cleaning and inactivity filtering also apply to these newsletter sends.

Different business names do not by themselves establish whether a transfer is internal to one legal operator or is a disclosure to a separate operator. Any disclosure to a separate operator must be accurately described and supported by the permissions and choices required for that disclosure. These practices do not replace any applicable sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising opt-out rights.

Aggregated or deidentified information

We may use or disclose aggregated or appropriately deidentified information to understand audience trends and service performance. Where required by law, we maintain deidentified information in that form and do not attempt to reidentify it except as legally permitted.

Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or lawful requests from public authorities; protect rights or property; investigate fraud or security incidents; or protect life or safety. Where lawful, practical, and appropriate, we provide notice of relevant disclosures.

Business transfers

Personal Data may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets. We provide notice where required, including when transferred information will become subject to materially different privacy practices.

6. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Pixels or web beacons are small resources that can record an interaction when loaded. Scripts, server logs, and similar technologies also support website and newsletter functionality.

We may use:

  • Strictly necessary technologies to support core functionality, security, and requested services;
  • Analytics technologies to understand audience activity and improve services; and
  • Marketing technologies to deliver, measure, or personalize advertisements and related communications.

Where enabled, newsletter pixels and tracked links may record message delivery, opens, and clicks and related device or technical information. These measurements can be affected by email-provider privacy features and may not reliably reflect an individual person’s activity.

You can manage cookies through your browser and, where offered, the website’s privacy or cookie controls. Blocking certain technologies may affect some features. Where applicable law requires consent for nonessential technologies, we obtain it before using them.

Third-party advertisers or services may use their own technologies subject to their policies and applicable law. Their independent practices do not remove our responsibilities for disclosures made through our website.

Additional information and advertising choices are available through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. These tools may be limited to participating companies, browsers, or devices and do not replace statutory privacy choices or unsubscribe you from our newsletters. Blocking remote images in an email client may reduce pixel-based tracking; unsubscribing stops future newsletter delivery.

7. International Transfers and Storage

We and our providers may store or process Personal Data outside your state, province, or country, including where privacy laws differ from those in your location. Where possible, we use storage and processing arrangements in your general geographic region, but we do not guarantee storage in your country or region.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate mechanisms, which may include adequacy decisions, approved standard contractual clauses, or other legally recognized safeguards. Information about European Commission standard contractual clauses is available here. Contact us to request further information about safeguards relevant to your information.

8. Retention, Deletion, and Security

We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing requested services, maintaining signup and preference records, complying with law, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and establishing or defending legal claims.

Retention depends on the category and purpose: subscription information is generally retained while needed to manage the subscription; signup records while needed to verify authorization and compliance; transaction and legal records for applicable obligations; and technical records according to operational and security needs. Limited suppression information may be retained after an unsubscribe or deletion request to honor your opt-out. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or take appropriate steps to deidentify or anonymize it.

As part of our routine list maintenance, subscribers identified as inactive are filtered out of ongoing newsletter sends. We may retain limited subscription history, engagement, consent, or suppression records when reasonably necessary to document preferences, avoid unwanted sends, investigate complaints, or meet legal obligations. We distinguish stopping newsletter delivery from deleting Personal Data and handle deletion requests under applicable law.

We use appropriate organizational and technical safeguards intended to protect Personal Data against accidental loss, unauthorized access or use, alteration, and disclosure. These include secure transmission where Personal Data is involved and appropriate access restrictions. We require providers processing information on our behalf to maintain appropriate safeguards. No system or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach occurs, we notify affected individuals and authorities as required by law.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • learn whether we process your information and obtain access to it;
  • obtain information about categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and relevant disclosures;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion, subject to lawful exceptions;
  • obtain a portable copy in a usable format;
  • restrict processing in specified circumstances;
  • withdraw consent;
  • object to processing, including certain direct marketing or processing based on legitimate interests;
  • opt out of sales of Personal Data, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, or certain profiling with legal or similarly significant effects;
  • limit specified uses or disclosures of sensitive Personal Data, where that right applies;
  • appeal a denied request where applicable; and
  • complain to the relevant privacy regulator or other competent authority.

For objections to processing based on legitimate interests, we stop the relevant processing unless applicable law allows continuation on compelling grounds or for legal claims. We do not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising legally protected privacy rights.

How to make a request

Use the contact methods in Section 12. Describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. You do not need to create an account. For access, correction, or deletion requests, we may reasonably verify identity or authority when necessary to protect your information. We use verification information for handling the request and related security purposes. An authorized agent may act for you subject to reasonable proof of authority and verification required by law.

Identity verification for access or deletion is separate from ordinary email unsubscribe requests and sale/sharing opt-outs; we do not impose access-request verification requirements on those choices where the law prohibits doing so.

We respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain any permitted extension or denial. If an appeal right applies, reply to our response or contact us and identify the request you wish to appeal. We provide information about available regulator complaint options where required.

California residents

Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, California residents may request access to specific information, correction, deletion, portability, and information about the categories collected, sources, purposes, and recipient categories. Relevant categories are described in Section 2; purposes in Section 4; recipients in Section 5; and retention criteria in Section 8. The applicable reporting period and any right to information beyond the preceding 12 months are determined by law.

California residents may opt out of sales or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising through our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page or by contacting us. Where applicable, residents may also limit uses or disclosures of sensitive Personal Data beyond legally permitted purposes.

Where required by law, we recognize applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), for sale/sharing or targeted advertising. The scope of a signal may depend on whether we can associate the browser with an identified account or subscriber record. We apply signals as required by law; you may also contact us to submit a broader request. An advertising opt-out does not automatically unsubscribe you from newsletters, and an email unsubscribe does not automatically change browser advertising settings.

For California access, correction, and deletion requests, we generally respond within 45 days and notify you if a legally permitted extension is needed. Different deadlines apply to certain requests, including opt-outs. We honor all applicable deadlines. Requests are ordinarily free; any legally permitted fee or limitation is explained before it is applied.

Other jurisdictions

Where EU or UK data protection law applies, you may contact your supervisory authority about our processing. A list of EU authorities is available through the European Data Protection Board; the UK authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Where other laws listed in Section 1 apply, you may exercise the rights those laws provide, including applicable access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, appeal, or complaint rights. For state-law appeals, you may also contact your state attorney general or regulator as applicable, including the authorities in Colorado, Virginia, and Connecticut.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our website and newsletters are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required. Where applicable law provides additional protections for minors, we follow those requirements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal obligations. We post the updated version on this page and update the date above. For material changes, we provide additional notice where required or appropriate and obtain any consent required for the changed processing. Posting a revised policy does not automatically create consent to new marketing subscriptions or uses requiring separate consent.
